Boulder Care lands NIH grant
Boulder Care, a substance use disorder provider, has secured $1.8 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)’s National Institute on Drug Abuse. This support will be dedicated to expanding access to telehealth addiction treatment for patients in challenging settings, including:
- Community corrections and reentry programs
- Pregnancy and postpartum care
- Tribal health systems
- Transitioning from residential and emergency department care
"This grant will accelerate our development of tailored care pathways for these settings and generate evidence to inform the delivery, funding, and scaling of critical care," stated Stephanie Strong, founder and CEO of Boulder Care.
Yuvo raises $4.2M for FQHC value-based contracts
Yuvo, a company specializing in helping federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) enter value-based contracts, has raised $4.2 million. Their approach involves using new revenue opportunities without downside risk and negotiating contracts on behalf of the FQHCs.
In 2023, Yuvo secured $20.2 million in Series A funding from Mastry Ventures.
Overstory Health raises $1.4M for behavioral health services
Overstory Health, a Boston-based behavioral health provider, has closed $1.4 million in funding, according to SEC filings. They offer group and individual therapy, medication management, and virtual IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) and PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) programs for adults and teens.
Kaiser Permanente expands Youth Mental Health Corps with $10M investment
Kaiser Permanente is investing $10 million in the Youth Mental Health Corps, a program connecting teen patients with young adult peers for mental health support. Currently available in 16 states with over 1,000 trained members, the funding will expand the program to California, Maryland, and Oregon. The ultimate goal is to roll out the program across Kaiser Permanente’s 9-state footprint.
