Radial Acquires Mindful Health Solutions, Eyes Pending Boom in 'Brain Medicine'

New York City-based startup Radial acquired the larger and more established outpatient mental health provider, Mindful Health Solutions. This deal positions the merged entity to capitalize on what executives anticipate will be a growing market in interventional psychiatry.
Although still in its early stages, Radial has rapidly expanded its clinical reach nationwide and added Mindful Health Solutions' focus on holistic, multidisciplinary mental health treatment, which they term "brain medicine."
The acquisition also marks a swift turnaround for Mindful Health Solutions' previous investor, Aisling Capital. Financial details of the agreement remain confidential.
As stated by Radial's CEO and co-founder, John Capecelatro, "We've built a robust infrastructure to support a diverse range of interventions, from those awaiting FDA clearance to approved treatments." He expresses excitement about guiding new interventions through development and into the market.
Prior to the acquisition, Radial functioned as a technology-driven network company, focusing on AI-forward protocols for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), neurostimulation, and experimental treatments. They developed RadialOS, an AI-native software suite offering decision support, billing tools, and care coordination.
Mindful Health Solutions, established in 2007, already utilized TMS as a core service and offered traditional therapy, medication management, psychiatry, esketamine, and IV ketamine infusion therapy.
Dr. Owen Muir, a Radial co-founder, previously served as its Chief Medical Officer. He now holds the same role in the merged company. Mindful Health Solutions' Dr. Tobias Marton retains his title as Chief Medical Officer.
This acquisition represents another significant change in leadership for Mindful Health Solutions. Since its inception, the organization has seen multiple CEO transitions: from Brad Hummel to John Minahan, then to Meghan Herwehe, and finally to Mark Kehoe.
