Pinnacle Treatment Centers-Owned Recovery Works Shutters State Footprint

Recovery Works, a residential addiction treatment provider owned by Pinnacle Treatment Centers, has stopped accepting new patients. The company has completely shuttered at least one Kentucky location and will cease inpatient detox and residential services across all existing locations throughout the state.
The Impact
The 27,600-square-foot Recovery Works facility in Georgetown, Kentucky, treated adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. It operated between 31 to 50 inpatient beds on 10 acres of land. Listed for sale for at least 153 days, the property has been marked as “closed” on industry directory Recovery.com.
Local media reports suggest the facility may have been closed for three weeks already, with patients transferred to other regional facilities.
A Recorded Message
Callers to Recovery Works now receive a recorded message stating: "You’ve reached Recovery Works Georgetown. At this time, this location, along with all other Recovery Works Kentucky locations, has discontinued inpatient detox and residential services, and is no longer accepting new admissions."
BHB reached out to Pinnacle Treatment Centers for comment but has not yet received a response.
Operations Outside Kentucky
While Kentucky locations appear closed, Recovery Works operates facilities in other states. In 2022, Pinnacle opened a Recovery Works location in Martinsville, Indiana, and another in Cambridge City, Indiana.
Pinnacle Treatment Centers owns and operates a network of addiction treatment facilities across nine states. It first acquired Recovery Works in 2012 and has since expanded primarily through mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and de novo projects. In 2023, Pinnacle acquired four locations from Recovery Centers of America.
In December 2025, Pinnacle named its third CEO in two years.
