Brellium, a healthcare billing compliance software provider catering to mental health and autism providers, has secured $23 million in funding. The investment firms Left Lane Capital and First Round Capital led the round, with Digital Health Venture Partners also participating.

The new capital will empower Brellium to expand into new healthcare segments and parts of the revenue cycle. Alongside the funding, the New York City-based tech company unveiled CortexLM, an AI auditing system capable of:

  • Reading every patient note.
  • Training on specific organizational requirements.
  • Identifying issues in notes before billing.

Currently, Brellium partners with behavioral health organizations and national multispecialty post-acute care providers like Gentiva and Maxim Healthcare. The funding round will facilitate its growth into cardiology, pain management, and primary care.

Brellium’s client base includes 200 provider groups across all 50 states.

This is the second round of significant funding for Brellium, having raised $16.7 million in Series A funding in April 2025 from First Round Capital and Left Lane Capital.

Behavioral health software companies continue to attract investor interest in 2026. Notably, autism therapy-focused software company Hi Rasmus announced a $50 million funding round last month, and behavioral health data and integration platform Onos Health secured $17 million in Series A funding in August.

The influx of funding and the push for more detailed, per-note auditing occur against the backdrop of heightened scrutiny within the behavioral health industry, particularly in autism therapy, which the federal government has designated as high risk for fraud, waste, and abuse.
